The Fujifilm GFX 50R is a 50-megapixel rangefinder-type medium format mirrorless camera. It shares most of its components with the existing GFX 50S, including its sensors and processor, but rearranges it into a slightly smaller and cheaper package. And while the GFX 50R offers essentially the same image quality as its big brother, its handling and controls offer a very different shooting experience.
Inside, the camera combines a 51.4-megapixel sensor with the company’s X-Processor Pro, which is also featured on the X-series models. Other key features include multiple Film Simulation modes, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to keep smart devices connected, and a detection AF system. The contrast can have up to 425 manually managed focus points, plus two slots that accept SDHC and SDXC memory cards.
Video is better at Full HD than 4K, and the 3fps burst mode probably won’t excite action photographers, but it’s not the perfect camera for either. Fujifilm has equipped the GFX 50R with a 3.2-inch LCD screen, with a resolution of 2.36 million dots and integrated touch sensitivity. The electronic viewfinder has been greatly improved in recent years and the 3.69m viewfinder found on the GFX 50R is high quality. Fujifilm GFX 50R Firmware Update
