The X-T30 is equipped with the latest APS-C 26.1 MP X-Trans CMOS 4 image sensor from Fujifilm and the X-Processor Pro 4 image processor, which is said to be three times faster than the old third-party Gen X.-T20. The new sensor debuted last fall on the X-T3, and the taillight design offers better light collection and image quality.
However, some of the biggest changes are to the autofocus system. The X-T30 now has 2.16 million phase-detection pixels covering 100% of the image area. Face and eye detection have been improved thanks to a smaller and more accurate tracking area, and low light sensitivity has also been improved: the X-T30’s AF can now work in light levels as low as -3EV.
The X-T30 also has some pretty impressive video capabilities. It can capture 4K UHD video at 30p, uses 6K “upsample” capture downgraded to 4K for maximum image quality, and also features Fujifilm’s latest ETERNA film simulation mode. The X-T30 can store 4:2:0 8-bit video internally or 4:2:2 10-bit via HDMI. In 1080p, this camera can shoot up to 60fps or 120fps in high-speed recording mode and is also compatible with DCI 17:9 format. Fujifilm X-T30 Firmware Update
